Tennis Court Rules

TENNIS ANYONE?
Interested in a ladies tennis league? Please call Carrie Juarez at 520-7526.

Please use the shadow box located on the fence just inside the tennis courts as you enter. The shadow box is used to reserve the tennis courts, provide information about upcoming events or changes to court availability and to provide a place for our residents to post a note. There are two sign up sheets inside the box one for each of our tennis courts. The courts have court numbers that correspond to the sign up sheets.

We have a few basic rules about the use of the tennis courts that are posted inside the shadow box. Here is what we have posted:

  • One player per court must be a current member of Braun Oaks and in good standing.
  • Must sign in before playing.
  • Must have pool tag with you or pinned to your clothes.
  • Cannot reserve court more than 2 days in advance.
  • Courts are for Tennis purposes only. All other activities are prohibited.

We have received some concerns from residents that non-members are using our courts. While we ask our residents not to give out the gate combination to non-residents this does happen from time to time. By asking all residents to have their pool tags with them while using the facilities, we hope to limit this issue.

Tennis Court Rules & Etiquette
Please read and observe the following rules/guidelines at all times to provide a safe, pleasant recreational area for you and your family, and to protect and enhance your home investment
  1. Bicycles, skates, rollerblades, skateboards and similar items are not permitted on the courts at any time.
  2. Only tennis/court type of shoes are allowed on the courts. Proper tennis attire is to be worn on the courts at all times.
  3. All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult or supervised near the courts at all times.
  4. Tennis players are required to have in their possession their club tags. Failure to produce tags will result in the players being asked to leave. At this time the courts are on a first come first serve basis. A court may be claimed anytime they are vacant.
  5. Please be courteous and limit your time on the court, especially if others are waiting to play. Each family is limited to 2 hours of court time per day. However, if no one is waiting then play on.
  6. Be considerate---take care of the equipment and surface. Please observe tennis etiquette at ALL TIMES. Use the trash containers and help to keep the court areas clean.
  7. Only members in good standing of the Swim Club are allowed to use the courts. Guests are permitted as long as they are playing with a member of the club. GUESTS MAY NOT BE RESIDENTS OF THE BRAUN OAKS SUBDIVISION. Current Pool Tags are required to be in your possession when playing.
  8. No food or alcoholic beverages are permitted in the tennis court areas.
  9. The light switch to the courts is located on the left side of the gate. The lights are active until midnight and then the timer cuts power. Please remember to shut off the lights and lock the gate when you leave.
  10. Violations of these rules may cause your tennis privileges to be suspended. The length of this suspension will be determined by the Board of Directors.
  11. The tennis court lock combination will change as of May 18th. You must have pool/tennis tags to use the pool or tennis courts. Your annual dues must be paid to receive the new combination.
  12. Please do not give this number to anyone else. If they do not know the combination, they probably haven’t paid their dues. Should they be allowed to use your facilities for free?
