From the BONA President

Hello  Neighbors!

I  want to wish you all a safe and Happy Holiday season. We completed another community garage sale with great success.  We encourage all residences to start planning for our annual Christmas decorating contest. We will be doing the judging on Dec. 22  and Dec. 23.  Our annual Polar Bear swim will be held on January 10, 2008.

We need to look at what is needed in 2009 to continue to increase the value of our neighborhood.  Please forward ideas to the bona board.

Making Tezel a Safer Street

Persistence and follow-up with District 7
Councilman Justin Rodriguez paid off! Traffic has slowed down
thanks to the addition of the new four way stop at Tezel and Shade Tree.
Also, a traffic analysis proved that a four way stop at Tezel and Blake Oak Run intersection is too close to Bandera/Hwy 16. However, telephone conversations between Duane Domingue, BONA Member at Large, and Senior Council Aide to Councilman Rodriguez, Cris Medina, resulted in a settlement for “raised bumps” and additional warning signs to assist with the high volume of traffic through our community on Tezel Rd.

Please continue to address concerns to the BONA Board. And, take a moment to thank the District 7 office for their efforts with the new retaining wall and slowing traffic
on Tezel through the Braun Oaks community. You may do so by emailing   Cris.Medina@sanantonio.gov or calling 210.733.7525 / fax 210.732.3345.
 

Board Meetings

Once again, the BONA Board of Directors will hold its monthly meeting on the first Wednesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. at the clubhouse.  This will allow any resident who would like to bring up an item for discussion or would like to address the Board, an opportunity to do so.  Occasionally, scheduling conflicts force us to change meeting times.  Therefore, please contact any Board Member at least five days in advance to confirm the time and to be added to the agenda.
